Before, during and after your visit

FAQs & Aftercare

The practical answers, in the order you meet them: choosing a treatment, booking it, the appointment itself, aftercare, and the separate business of ordering something from the shop. Anything personal belongs in your consultation, where it can be answered properly.

Choosing a treatment

Working out what you need, before there is anything to book.

I am not sure which treatment I need. Where do I start?

Start from the concern rather than the treatment name. The treatments overview is arranged that way, and each guide explains what the appointment involves before it explains what it is called. If none of them clearly matches, book a consultation and describe the problem in your own words; working out which treatment fits is what the consultation is for.

Can I book without knowing which treatment I want?

Yes. Every new client has a consultation before their first treatment in any case, and you do not need to arrive with a decision already made.

How do I know whether a treatment is suitable for me?

Suitability is settled in a private conversation inside your appointment, not on this website. Booking a treatment does not mean it has been judged suitable for you, and the clinic can adapt, postpone or decline a treatment where suitability, safety, consent or professional requirements are not met.

I have a health condition, take medication, or am pregnant or breastfeeding. Does that rule a treatment out?

Not necessarily, and it is not something to decide from a web page. Please do not put it into the booking form: raise it at your consultation and bring a list of any medication you take. It is covered properly in the suitability check before anything begins.

Booking an appointment

How a time becomes a confirmed appointment, and what is taken from you when it does.

How do I book an appointment?

Use Book now, or the booking panel at the foot of any treatment guide. Choose a date and a time, give your name, email address and telephone number, then pay on the secure payment page. You can also book by telephone on 07586 609909.

Do I pay when I book?

Yes. The full price of the appointment is paid online when you book, on Stripe’s secure payment page, and your card details never reach the clinic’s website. The price you pay is fixed at that moment.

When is my appointment actually confirmed?

Once your payment has gone through and your confirmation email has been sent. The time is held for you while you pay; a time you were looking at, or a payment page you left without paying, is not a booking.

I did not receive a confirmation. Am I booked?

Check your spam folder first; the confirmation comes from info@aglowclinic.co.uk. If nothing has arrived, call the clinic on 07586 609909 rather than booking a second time, especially if you have been charged.

Why are only some dates and times offered?

The calendar shows the clinic's genuine availability, so what you can see is what can actually be booked. If nothing suitable is showing, call the clinic; times occasionally open up that were not free when the page loaded.

What details do I have to give to book?

Your name, an email address and a telephone number, so the clinic can confirm the appointment and reach you about it. Payment details are entered on Stripe’s payment page, not given to the clinic. Please do not put medical history or medication details into any form on this website; those are collected properly at the appointment.

Before your appointment

What a first visit involves, and what to have with you.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Every new client has a consultation before their first treatment. It covers what you want to achieve, suitability and any questions you would like to ask.

Is the suitability check a separate booking?

You do not normally need a separate pre-treatment appointment. When a treatment is available to book, choose that treatment and a clinic time; the appointment includes a private suitability conversation before treatment begins.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Bring photo identification and a list of any medication you take. Everything else is covered in the consultation, so there is no form to prepare in advance.

How long will I be at the clinic?

Appointment length depends on the treatment and the time needed for questions and the suitability check. The duration shown during booking or in your confirmation is the best guide; allow time to arrive without rushing.

On the day

Arriving, the suitability conversation, and what happens next.

Where do I go when I arrive?

AGlow Clinic is at Unit UG19, The Galleries Shopping Centre, Broadmead, Bristol BS1 3XA, on the middle floor next to Burger King. Contact and directions has a map.

What actually happens in the appointment?

An unhurried consultation first, then the private suitability check, then the treatment itself if it is going ahead, and finally your aftercare information. The time booked covers all of it.

Can the clinic decide not to go ahead on the day?

Yes. Booking, and paying, never override professional judgment. If the assessment is that a treatment should not proceed, it will not, and the clinic will explain why and what the alternatives are. You will be offered another time or a full refund of what you paid.

What it costs and when you pay

Where a price is shown, and at what point money changes hands.

Where do I see what a treatment costs?

The price is shown when you choose a treatment, and again on the payment page before you pay. If a treatment is enquiry-only, call the clinic for its price.

When do I pay for a treatment?

When you book online: the full price is paid on the secure payment page, and that payment is what confirms the appointment. If you book by telephone, the clinic tells you how to pay.

Is the consultation charged separately?

No. The appointment price includes the private suitability check, and you do not normally need a separate pre-treatment appointment.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

No. AGlow no longer offers gift vouchers. Appointments are booked directly, and the shop carries the products the clinic stocks.

Changing, cancelling and missed appointments

Cancelling online, late changes, and what happens if the clinic has to cancel.

Can I cancel my appointment online and get a refund?

Yes, up to 24 hours before your appointment. Open the Manage your booking link in your confirmation email and choose Cancel and refund. The full amount goes back to the card or account you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days.

Lost the email? The manage page will send a fresh link to the address you booked with, using the six-character reference from your confirmation. Within 24 hours of your appointment, call the clinic on 07586 609909 instead.

What if I need to cancel?

Up to 24 hours before your appointment, cancel it yourself for a full refund from the Manage your booking link in your confirmation email. Inside 24 hours, or to move the appointment rather than cancel it, call the clinic on 07586 609909 as soon as you know.

Will I be charged for cancelling?

Not if you cancel online at least 24 hours before your appointment: the full amount is refunded. A late cancellation or a missed appointment is not refunded automatically, so call the clinic. Anything it keeps will be fair and proportionate to the loss actually caused, taking account of whether the time can be offered to somebody else; a blanket rule that every payment is lost is not used.

What if AGlow has to cancel?

The clinic will contact you, and you will be offered another time or a full refund of what you paid. The booking and cancellation policy sets it out.

Do I have a legal right to cancel a booking made online?

Yes. An appointment booked online is a service agreed at a distance, and the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you a right to cancel within 14 days of booking. Nothing on this site or in the clinic’s terms takes that away. The booking and cancellation policy explains how it sits alongside cancelling online.

Is there parking?

Contact AGlow before travelling for current parking and accessibility guidance. The clinic is on the middle floor of The Galleries Shopping Centre, next to Burger King.

After your appointment

Aftercare, follow-up, and who to tell if something concerns you.

What aftercare will I be given?

Personalised aftercare information, supplied by the clinic and specific to your treatment and to you. That is the one that counts; anything general you read elsewhere, including on this page, does not replace it.

Do I need to buy anything for aftercare?

Follow the product guidance included in your personalised aftercare information. If something is needed, it will say so.

I have a concern after my treatment. Who do I contact?

Use the follow-up contact route in your aftercare information. It is there so the clinic hears about it early.

How do I give feedback or raise a complaint?

Contact the clinic directly on 07586 609909 or through the enquiry form. Nothing in the clinic's terms limits a right you have by law.

The shop and what you can buy

What the public shop carries, and why some things in it cannot be bought.

What does the shop sell?

The shop page is the live list, and it is the only reliable answer at any given moment: what is listed there is what the clinic currently offers online. What may be sold through a public store, and on what terms, is set out in delivery, collection and returns.

Why can I see a product that I cannot buy?

An item withheld from sale says so on its own page rather than showing a price and a button that would not work. It usually means the product is under review, and the clinic can tell you where it stands.

A product says Out of stock. What happens now?

It stays on the shelf rather than disappearing, so you can see that the clinic carries it and check back. Call the clinic if you would like to know when it is expected.

What does the Low stock label mean?

Five or fewer left. The figure is read live from the clinic's own stock, not estimated.

Basket and checkout

From adding an item to receiving an order confirmation.

Why will the quantity not go any higher?

Because the field stops at the number genuinely in stock. It is deliberate: an order that cannot be filled helps nobody.

Do I need an account to order?

No. There are no customer accounts: you order or book as a guest, and the link in your confirmation email is how you get back to your order or appointment later.

What happens at checkout?

You give your name, email address, telephone number and a UK delivery address, and the total including delivery is shown. You then pay on Stripe’s secure payment page and come back to an order confirmation. Collection is not a checkout option; call the clinic to arrange it.

Which payment methods can I use?

The ones shown on the secure payment page when you pay. Payments are taken by Stripe, and your card details never reach the clinic’s website.

How do I know my order went through?

You see a confirmation on screen as soon as the payment has gone through, and an order confirmation email follows, with a link to manage your order. If no email arrives, check your spam folder and then contact the clinic with the reference from the confirmation screen rather than ordering a second time.

Can I order from outside the United Kingdom?

No. The checkout is configured for the United Kingdom only.

Delivery and clinic collection

UK delivery charges, free collection, and when to travel.

How much is delivery?

Standard UK delivery is £5.99 on eligible orders below £150, and free once the eligible order value reaches £150 or more. Both rates are confirmed at checkout before you pay.

How is my order sent, and how long does it take?

By Royal Mail Tracked 24, which aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch. Dispatch and delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees, and some remote areas, including the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Isles of Scilly, can take longer.

Can I collect from the clinic instead?

Yes, and collection is free, but it is not an option at the online checkout. Call the clinic on 07586 609909 and it will arrange it with you.

How long until an order is ready to collect?

Usually two to four days. Wait for the notification that it is ready before travelling; the clinic runs on appointments, so an uncollected order may not be to hand without it.

Where do I collect from?

AGlow Clinic, Unit UG19, The Galleries Shopping Centre, Broadmead, Bristol BS1 3XA, on the middle floor next to Burger King.

My order has not arrived.

Contact the clinic with your order number. Have the confirmation email to hand; it carries everything needed to find the order.

Order problems, returns and refunds

Changing your mind, and what happens when something is wrong.

I have changed my mind about something I bought.

Within 24 hours of ordering, and before it is sent, cancel it yourself for a full refund from the Manage your order link in your confirmation email. After that, unless an exception applies, tell AGlow within 14 days of receiving the item that you wish to cancel, and you then have a further 14 days to send it back.

When will I be refunded?

An order you cancel online is refunded straight away and usually reaches the card or account you paid with within 5 to 10 working days. For a return, the refund is made within 14 days of AGlow receiving the item back, including the standard delivery charge.

Is anything excluded from change-of-mind returns?

Only where a product is sealed for health or hygiene protection and that seal has been broken after delivery. This exception never removes your rights over goods that are faulty, unsafe, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

Something arrived faulty, damaged or wrong.

Contact the clinic promptly with your order details and a description of the problem. You are entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy as the law requires, and nothing in the clinic's terms restricts that.

Can I cancel my order online and get a refund?

Yes, within 24 hours of placing it, as long as it has not been sent. Open the Manage your order link in your order confirmation email and choose Cancel and refund. The full amount, delivery included, goes back to the card or account you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days.

Lost the email? The manage page will send a fresh link to the address you ordered with, using the six-character reference from your confirmation. After 24 hours, or once the order is on its way, contact the clinic instead.

Can I cancel an order before it is sent?

Within 24 hours of ordering, yes: cancel it online from your confirmation email for a full refund. After that, contact the clinic on 07586 609909 as soon as possible. If it has not yet been sent it can usually be stopped; if it has, it becomes a return instead.

Contact, privacy and your information

How to reach the clinic, and what belongs in a message.

What is the quickest way to reach the clinic?

Telephone, on 07586 609909. It is the fastest route for availability, access and practical questions. There is also an enquiry form for anything that is not urgent.

Can I include my medical history in an enquiry, a booking or an order?

Please do not. Health information should not go into the enquiry form, the booking form, the checkout or any other untargeted message, and this website has nowhere to keep it. Where the clinic needs it, it collects it through its own controlled process at your consultation, with access limited to authorised staff.

What information does AGlow hold about me?

The contact details you supply; your appointment’s treatment, date, time, reference and status; for an order, what you bought and where it is going; a record of what you paid and any refund, with Stripe’s reference numbers but never your card details; and the technical information needed to run the site securely. The privacy notice sets it out in full.

Will I be added to a mailing list?

No. This website sends no marketing email: only confirmations, reminders, refund notices and replies to your enquiries.

How do I ask for a copy of my information, or ask for it to be deleted?

Contact the clinic and say what you want. Your rights and how to exercise them are in the privacy notice.

After your appointment

Your own aftercare information is the one that counts. This is the short version of what it asks of you.

  • Follow the personalised aftercare information supplied by the clinic.
  • Follow the product guidance included in your personalised aftercare information.
  • Use the follow-up contact route in your aftercare information if you have concerns.
